Emma Lodge is the founder of BLOOM - Health and Wellbeing Expo and an advocate of prevention being better than cure when it comes to health
Cairns health and wellbeing advocate, Emma Lodge firmly believes that prevention is better than cure – so much so that she has created a full day expo, entitled BLOOM, showcasing the many and varied elements of living a clean and health filled life with presentations, workshops, activities and exhibitors.  The event will take place from 9am to 4:30pm on Saturday 12 October 2013 at Shangri-la Marina Hotel.

According to Emma, BLOOM is about inspiring wellness through prevention.  “What I have done is created a full day event that brings together the very best natural health and wellbeing experts in their field to guide you and your family to happier, healthy living.”

Headlining the esteemed list of guest speakers is Therese Kerr, mother of Aussie supermodel, Miranda Kerr, visionary, author and ambassador of KORA Organics.  Other speakers include Kathryn Alexander, an internationally acknowledged expert in the field of dietary healing and detoxification and Stephen Eddy, principal of Health Schools Australia and Curtis Aiken, who at 28 years of age was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and by changing his lifestyle was able to overcome the disease.

Tickets are now on sale via the website www.balancelifeand bloom.com and are priced from $15 for basic entry to $75 for access all areas.  The comprehensive ticket ($75) includes access to all specialist exhibitors, wellness presentations, talks and workshops, Bloom Magazine & Directory as well as a healthy cleansing juice and noodle box for lunch.

Emma says that meditation, cooking demos, health topics and the KORA skincare workshop are just some of the line up for the day. “I envisage a highlight will be the health and lifestyle forum featuring our panel of guest speakers and local personalities – this will be no doubt fun and insightful, getting into the nitty gritty in an opening, relaxed and friendly environment.”

Guests attending will be able to purchase raffle tickets to win prizes donated by BLOOM’s exhibitors, sponsors and other supporting businesses. The prizes will be drawn throughout the day with proceeds donated to the COUCH Wellness Centre. Providing a broader concept of wellness, the COUCH Wellness Centre will offer a more holistic approach to health care, designed to help with the recovery of the mind, body and soul.
